About Sally from GoodCooks
I have been writing recipes and creating delicious food for many clients over the past 30 years, starting with qualifying as a chef and working in restaurants and catering establishments. I then studied Home Economics in London before joining Prima magazine. I worked through the industry becoming cookery editor of Family Circle.
During my career, I have presented my own cookery shows on TV including the BBC’s Ready Steady Cook, sometimes even winning as a red tomato!
I also have created recipes and images for major supermarkets such as Sainsbury's. Here I am putting the finishing touches to a recipe for the store.
Since I launched GoodCooks, I’ve also become a mad chutney, pickle and jam addict! We’re even taking orders from as far away as Halifax in Yorkshire.
I loved working in the magazine world and decided to go freelance in the late nineties. I have been lucky enough to work with many food companies including Pataks and travelled around India to learn all about their wonderful cuisine.
Now I have the cookery school and catering business and am able to pass on my passion for food every day!
It's the best job in the world.
